Volunteers of America Southwest would like to recognize some of the great corporations who partner with them on their mission to inspire hope through their ministry of service by providing individuals and families with tools to improve their quality of life. In short, at Volunteers of America Southwest, they transform lives from vulnerable to vibrant.

And so, as we look forward to the summer months in San Diego, fresh from the beauty of the new beginnings of spring, we thoughtfully contemplate what inspires the corporations who support Volunteers of America Southwest.

Philip Curtis is the CEO of RezCare, a strong supporter of Volunteers of America Southwest and serves as a member of their Board of Directors. Philip is a supporter who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to Volunteers of America Southwest. He learned about them over 15 years ago when a close friend was receiving care in one of their programs. Inspired, he began serving as a volunteer, eventually joining their Board of Directors.

In his role as CEO of Rezcare Pharmacy, Philip works extensively with caregivers and has found his greatest connection to be with the Troy Center for Supported Living, which serves individuals with mental health challenges. “The dedication and commitment I see from the staff is remarkable, they extend compassion to ensure clients know they are not forgotten. When people are passionate about what they do, it inspires you. This is why I support Volunteers of America Southwest,” Philip shares with Giving Back Magazine.

For over 13 years, Philip has provided leadership through his board service, assisted with the annual golf committee, volunteered at the Troy Center, and provided financial contributions to the annual Fall Forum, Hope in a Backpack Program and sponsored our Annual Anniversary Awards celebration. Leaders like Phillip are a fine example of corporate responsibility, generosity and engagement.

Corporations and individuals at all levels seek to find what truly inspires them as they seek out partnerships with non-profits. It is in that spirit that Volunteers of America wishes to thank the corporations listed.

After all, they recognize that, through corporations and individual leaders like Philip, they are able to extend our reach in the community, and for that, they are grateful.
